Position Overview:

As the Head of Operations & Development North West, you will play a key role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day functioning of our supported living and residential care services in Cumbria. You will be responsible for managing operational processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives and growing the number of services we operate. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in social care, along with strong leadership skills and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities of this role:

Operational Leadership:

As Head of Operations & Development, you will provide strategic leadership to the operations team, setting clear objectives and ensuring the successful execution of day-to-day activities.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of care.

In your role as Head of Operations & Development you will conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant laws and standards.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance.

Resource Management:

As a Head of Operations & Development you will effectively manage resources, including staff, equipment, and budgets, to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team.

Client and Stakeholder Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders.

Address concerns and feedback promptly, working to enhance overall client satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

As Head of Operations & Development you will identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery.

Implement best practices and keep abreast of industry trends to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Ideally Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management

Proven experience in a leadership role within the social care industry

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team

Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
